Job description:
Oversee the day to day finance activities and manage the company's accounting function producing regular management accounts and information to enable the management to better manage the business. In addition to produce annual statutory accounts and other statutory returns whilst ensuring the accuracy of the company's ledgers.


Main Responsibilities:
1. General activities
• To ensure the integrity of the Company's ledgers and associated systems.
• To produce monthly management accounts forecasts and information monitoring the various aspects of the Company's performance within the specified timescales.
• To provide statutory accounts, returns for tax, VAT and other government departments.
• To maintain a fixed asset register.
• To assist in the production and development of the Company's Business Plan and budgets.
• To manage the Accounts Department staff.
• To identify training needs within the department and make suitable recommendations for action.
• To seek improvements in the Company's information systems (manual and electronic).
• To identify and evaluate areas for improvement of profit with particular regard to cost reductions and methodology.
• To ensure the Company's Quality procedures and Health & Safety Policy are adhered to within the department.
• To develop a culture of empowerment throughout the team ensuring that all employees take responsibility for the ongoing success of the Company.
• To develop a customer focused approach to the internal client base.

2. Quantitative Data
• Preparation of annual business and budget plan objectives
• Capital Expenditure Decision Making Authority
• Allocation of resources
• Payment and debt collection within current forecast

3. Overall of Stores
• Auditors, Bankers,
• Stoke taking twice per year,
• Insurance,
• Subcontractors,
• Suppliers and Clients

4. Others
• Ensuring that the existing accounts timetables are adhered to.
• Ensuring that meaningful information is provided to management to enable timely and current decisions to be made affecting policy and Operations.
• Ensuring stability within the accounts function
• Ensuring that all resources are used in the most effective manner
• Ensuring that individual employees are working as part of the overall team and are committed to company success.
• Identifying and evaluating areas within the Company's operations.

• Graduate degree in Accounting and finance plus at least 6 years’ experience in related field at Managerial position.

Post Title:  Program Manager at Erolink Recruitment

1.1 Profile;
The Program Manager will contribute to a sound Grants management system and to ensure that Trust meets its objectives. He/She shall be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.

1.2 Tasks;
The Program Manager will support the mission of the organisation by performing the following tasks;

1.2.1 Management
• To spearhead the overall activities of the Program Department,
• Develop annual targets aligning with the Fund’s Five years strategic plan, conduct staff performance evaluations and determine training needs, to provide internal capacity building on program related issues to staff,
• Develop reports for presentation to the Board on semi-annual basis

1.2.2 Grants management systems
• Managing the development and implementation of projects so as to achieve the objectives of the Fund,
• To supervise the process of recruiting implementing partners in accordance to the Fund’s guidelines, drawing up grant management agreements and ensure timely disbursement of grants after approval,
• To ensure that grants are monitored and fully accounted for and assess capacity building needs for grantees
• To initiate the development of annual budgets for the department in collaboration with Finance & Administration department and submission of monthly activity reports

1.2.3 Fund raising and Publicity
• Develop appropriate fund strategies
• To respond to Expression of Interest on the organization funding opportunities
• To develop publicity material for the organization work.
• To develop relationships with donors community, government and civil society partners organizations

Program Manager vacancy in Tanzania

Job Title:Senior Program Manager (One Post)

PCI is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing disease, improving community health, and promoting sustainable development worldwide. PCI Tanzania is concluding the initial phase of Food for Education (FFE) three years program in Mara region. In partnership with Bunda and Musoma Rural District Councils, and with support from the United States Department of Agriculture

(USDA), PCI will implement an expanded, follow-on 3-year program (2013-2016).
PCI is now announcing various vacancies for positioned based in Mwanza, Bunda and Musoma.
Senior program Manager will provide overall program management and leadership for the
FFE program to oversee timely, cost-effective, and high quality implementation of program activities and achievement of program objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree in community or integrated development, public health, social sciences, or relevant advanced degree in the field of development preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant professional experience in designing, implementing, and managing international development projects, including demonstrated experience in senior leadership positions on these projects. Direct experience with food aid programs desired
  • Strong understanding and up-to-date technical knowledge in three or more fields of: Primary Education, Agriculture, Health Promotion, WASH, Economic Empowerment, Child Rights & Protection, HIVIAIDS. Strong understanding of national and international development issues in particular relating to children.
  •  Working knowledge of food aid programming and commodity management a plus. substantial experience and knowledge of effective financial management, budget execution, and internal controls.
  •  Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team and ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  •  Demonstrated knowledge and skills in program design, monitoring and evaluation (theory and practice) desired; experience applying this to a research project is also desira6le. Demonstrated experience interacting with government officials and community-based stakeholders;
  • Excellent project management skills; Strong computer skills (MS Office) Excellent English skills (verbal and written);
