The Position

Several positions exist for Refinery Process Operators. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for a number of routine operating and monitoring functions to support production across the area. The successful candidate will also be responsible for contributing to daily work targets, ensuring they are met safely and efficiently as well as performing plant isolations, risk assessments, permit and clearance to work activities, housekeeping and handing over work in an effective manner at shift changeover.

This position is on the continuous shift roster and will require you to work both 12 hour night and days shifts and will include weekend and public holiday work.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of safety and operating systems and processes within an industrial environment. Previous experience in an Operator role is essential and a Certificate 3 in Process Plant Operations or equivalent will be highly regarded, but is not essential.

Demonstrated ability to self-manage, plan work and monitor progress, along with well-developed communication and team work skills across a diverse group of people is essential for this position.
