Job Description
The Branch Manager is a senior member of the Operation Department.  As such,
s/he participates actively in regular Branch Manager’s management meetings with the Chief Operations Officer, and leads meetings at the Branch office. As senior manager in charge of a Branch office,

 s/he is responsible for all aspects of the Branch office’s loan delivery and customer service and processes, Human Resources Management, plans, and controls as well as the to oversee the overall security of the region.
 Role:
To design and supervise the implementation of the Branch business plans in line with the organisational objectives.
1)            Key Responsibility Areas
·             To Plan, Monitor and implement the disbursement processes as per set disbursement standards mainly focusing on quick service delivery and efficiency.
·             Plan and Monitor portfolio growth, quality and outreach as per Branch targets.
·             Compile, Analyze and provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to the Head Office as per Branch reporting requirements.
·             To Monitor and evaluate the work of the Supervisors as per the Human Resource Manual.
·             To monitor and implement staff adherence to policies and procedures in line with the credit, savings and Human Resource Manuals.
·             To Identify, assess, monitor and respond to customer concerns through use of the Standard customer care survey tools.
·             To carry out administrative roles with regard to operational activities as per set administrative policies and procedures.
2)            Major Activities:
·             Maintain and promote the image of FINCA Tanzania.
·             Expand and increase the clientele base and business volume of the Branch office.
·             Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Branch office.
·             Supervise and effect quality service delivery within the Branch with minimum turn around time.
·             Mentor and manage staff in accordance to the policies and procedures.
·             Ensure all controls are adhered to at the Branch office.
·             Check all village bank inaugurations and disbursements to ensure that regulations and requirements are adhered to in processing and disbursement of loans.
·             Increase the organizations profitability by maintaining a high portfolio quality and ensuring that all loans are recovered.
Job Requirements
3)         Qualifications
·              A University Degree preferably in Commerce and Management (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA) or Banking. MBA is an added advantage.
·             At least 3 years Credit Supervisor or Accountant work experience in a recognized Micro Finance Institution or Commercial Bank.
·             Ability to manage and motivate staff.
·             A sound knowledge of Micro Finance, principles and practices of banking.
·             Computer Literacy
4)         Key Responsibilities
·             Internally – with all staff at the Branch office on the day-to-day operations relating to managing, advising and motivating them.
·             Internally – with all staff at the head office and other Branch offices.
·             Externally – with customers on a day-to-day basis relating to quality of services and effecting payments, company Legal Counsel for legal advice and commercial banks to ensure FINCA Tanzania and its customers are getting a good service.

Job Description
Focuses on the growth of Savings and credit clients by mobilizing savings accounts, developing, managing and maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio and on reaching the maximum portfolio caseload for his/her
credit and savings product. The ARO participates actively in credit committees and has a credit committee voting right. The ARO participates actively on arrears committees.
The ARO provides, according to FINCA’s mission, financial services to lowest-income entrepreneurs, reaches out to potential clients, to mobilize savings in terms of numbers and volume from the field and provides loans to qualifying prospects. The ARO manages the loan accounts by closely monitoring repayment behaviors and client’s socio-economic situation. The ARO maintains a high-quality portfolio and manages its sound growth based on performance targets and detailed working plans. The ARO is responsible for overall management of his/her savings and credit portfolios.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Products/Services: Market all FINCA products and services to potential clients by using promotional tools and mechanisms approved by FINCA’s management. This includes responsibility for generating savings clients for subsidiaries that are regulated.
    Savings: Responsible to achieve the personal savings monthly targets both, in numbers and volumes. Follows up and make sure that the accounts activated under own portfolio are actively used by the customers; Responsible for acquiring savings potential customers and guaranties the follow up process for opening accounts. Responsible for planning activities and events to the purpose of maintaining relationship with Top Savers Customers and maintain customer’s relationship at all the time; ARO must have excellent savings product knowledge and other competitors in the market, as well as its his/her responsibility to stay updated with the changes related the products’ features that might occur and provide a transparent information to the potential customer.
    Loans operations/portfolio management: Responsible for full lending cycle of loan initiation, processing, monitoring, repayments and recovery. Select clients, provide detailed products and services information, conduct client evaluation, collect all the necessary documents and check their accuracy, present credit proposals at credit committees based on the client risk assessment, and process loans documentation. Explain to clients all the details of the disbursement and repayment process.
    Record keeping: Compile credit files and all necessary documents, hand over to back office staff for processing.
    Reporting: Prepare and present reports as required by the ARS
    Compliance: Ensure that each loan is disbursed in compliance with FINCA lending procedures, policies and methodology at all stages of loan processing.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 
·             2 years of experience working in a client-facing sales role, in educational profession or in agricultural field is highly desired.
·             Basic mathematics and analytical skills required, writing, reading and comprehension skills, attention to details.
·             Strong customer orientation.
·             Diploma or Bachelor Degree preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
    Proficiency in both English and Swahili language
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
·             Meet a minimum number of  savings clients and portfolio as defined by the Supervisor
·             Maintain the savings portfolio Average Savings Balance as defined by the Supervisor
·             Reduce the number of Dormant Accounts to meet minimum standard
·             Execution of Personal Sales Plan and savings targets
·             Meet the number of borrowing client,  PAR and  loan portfolio as defined by the supervisor
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
    Availability to travel 70 % of the available time
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    Ability to travel in economy class when traveling by air or rail

About the position:
ICRAF seeks to recruit a Livestock Feeds Advisor as part of a project with the East Africa Dairy Development (EADD) to facilitate dissemination of improved feed technologies.
Roles and responsibilities:         
Build technical capacity of PO leaders and extension agents in assessment of existing feeds used by farmers and other available feeds that can be introduced and disseminated.
· Support mobilization of farmers into working groups that are targeted by the project in testing various feed technologies.
· Identify and build partnerships with key stakeholders in specific areas of operation that have high potential for helping dairy farmers to adopt new feed technologies.
· Raise awareness on Climate Smart Agriculture in relation to dairy and feeding through organizing and conducting field days, demonstrations and farmer meetings.
· Assist and participate in research work that will enhance availability of improved feeds and fodder.
· Represent WAC during cluster meeting.
· Build technical capacity of Producer organization leaders, extension agent, farmers’ trainers and farmers.
· Work closely with other EADD partner.
· Backstop the CCAFs project deliverables.
· Support and contribute to fundraising initiatives.
· Contribute to science by publishing articles and manuals.
Skill set               
· Diploma in agricultural and livestock production sciences, natural resources management, or business administration. A Bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage
· Three (3) years of work in his or her area of expertise. Past experience working in the dairy sector, agricultural or livestock extension, development of agricultural enterprises and promotion of fodder shrubs and herbaceous legumes will be added advantage.
