Position
Reporting to the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will provide specialised technical Engineering support to group projects and maintenance through design, specification, scoping and engineering studies. This will ensure that plant modifications and upgrades are aligned to relevant engineering standards, basis of design and business needs.

Key accountabilities include:
•  Design and implement solutions that meet the needs of projects or operational areas

•  Provide guidance on the technical content of work, risk and cost and ensure timely delivery of engineering solutions

•  Ensure engineering designs meet required standards

•  Identify and drive opportunity for improvement in design and standards

•  Play a lead role in controlling the relevant standards, specifications, procedures and drawings in the area

Working as part of a small team, you will be required to self-manage your work and influence key stakeholders to meet business needs.

Skills and Experience
In order to be successful in this role you will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering with experience in a large mineral processing plant. You will require good computer skills, particularly in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office, and the ability to prepare detailed technical reports. As a Specialist in your field, you will be able to influence others through your in depth knowledge and excellent communications skills.
