We are seeking a part-time Casual Designer looking to join our team
immediately on an ad hoc basis.
Based in Port Melbourne and reporting to the Design and Print Manager, this
role will be responsible for text set-up for programming, flyer, brochure and
annual report design and base stock production through to assistance with
development projects.
Major Responsibilities:

Working closely with teams to
provide design based work including forms and letter set-ups, scanning and
format conversion of logos and signatures, as well updating the graphic
database.
·
Prepare final artwork to standard
pre-press requirements.
·
Design corporate branding, annual
reports, marketing collateral and mailpack components.
·
Creation of document concepts,
base stocks, sample documentation, document architecture and style guides.
·
Delivery of prompt service,
meeting internal and external deadlines to expectation
·
Make educated layout decisions to
best suit the production environment. Liaise with programmers to ensure these
decisions are efficient and cost-effective.

Delivery of 100% accurate
documents, following style guides, instructions and procedures, often in high
volume and fast turnaround.
·
Maintain accurate timesheet
records of daily work. Provide timing information for workload scheduling.
Skills and Experience:
·
Qualification from Australian
Government accredited institution in Graphic Design or Graphic Arts, and/or
related discipline/experience that is deemed suitable
·
Able to work effectively on PC
platforms
·
Mandatory software skills in
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat
·
Medium/advanced level of computer
literacy with specific skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
·
An understanding of print
production will be highly advantageous.
