About the Job:
Our Group Functions HR team provide global
support to all Group Functions employees across 9 countries. A new part-time
opportunity now exists for a highly motivated HR professional to join our team.
As part of our Talent function, the Capability
Specialist will be responsible for the design, implementation, and
effectiveness of next generation learning and capability interventions for all
of Group Functions.
Partnering closely with HR, you will be
responsible for managing the interfaces with key internal stakeholders, to
ensure that the needs of the business and perspectives of leaders are
integrated into learning efforts, and that learning efforts are supported
across the business.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Conform
with the BHP Billiton Charter, Code of Conduct, Group Level Documents and
relevant statutory obligations
Have an
overriding commitment to health, safety and environment responsibility and to
sustainable development
The key responsibilities include:

To
provide the design principles, and frameworks for the next generation of
learning and capability interventions
·
Manage
a thorough diagnostic process, and distil insights into clear and discrete
learning outcomes
·
Build
and maintain relationships with key learning and coaching vendors
·
Support
the execution of individual and collective development solutions for key talent
as well as the process for executive coaching and mentoring
·
Ensure
alignment between learning programs and other related processes, especially
talent management and succession planning
·
Management of the BHP Billiton Finance
Graduate Program, including talent assessment and acquisition and the
coordination of graduate rotations
·
Partner
and coach HR Business Partners to deliver effective talent management and
succession planning sessions
·
Contribution to a range of Organisational
Development interventions including Diversity and Inclusion, Performance,
Engagement Surveys and interventions, Talent Management and Assessment.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role you will need to
have significant Capability Development experience, with the ability to design
and deliver contemporary learning and capability interventions. Previous experience in areas such as
leadership development, business strategy, coaching and vision creation are
highly desirable.
Ideally your experience will include proposal and
strategy development, project management, and vendor management. This role will suit someone with the
curiosity and drive to learn, and deliver exceptional results.
You will need to demonstrate your ability to
engage and influence stakeholders, in particular with senior executives across
Group Functions and within the HR community.
Broader exposure across a number of
Organisational Development frameworks such as Talent and Succession, Diversity
and Inclusion, Engagement Surveys, Performance Management, and Assessment will
be ideal.
This role is being offered on a permanent
part-time basis, 2 days per week.
