The Position
Reporting to the Superintendent Major Shutdowns, you will lead a shutdown team / crew within an Operation area or in a specialized discipline over the entire Operation and ensure shutdown activities on the plant, equipment and utilities under accountability are safely executed against schedules, plans, and specified standards.Your duties will include:
  Lead a shutdown execution team and promote operating discipline related to the  work management processes
  Ensure timely updates of resource work centre capacity data to enable effective scheduling
  Ensure timely evaluation and scoping of work requests prior to approval for the work management planning process
  Participate in the weekly pre-planning, planning and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment and commitment of resources to the work schedule
  Ensure safe execution of shutdown work
  Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to processes and work instructions, and the entering of the relevant transactional data.
  Ensure that team members initiate appropriate master data changes (create, change or delete) to task lists and or work instructions
  Review work competency with team members, identify gaps and take corrective action as necessary to improve performance
  Manage and review events and escalate where necessary
  Provide input into the development of maintenance work strategies
  Close completed work orders to ensure end to end process compliance
  Guide and coach individual team members in order to build a high performing team
This position is on the day shift maintenance crew on a 9 day fortnight, 9.5 hour per day work pattern.

Skills and Experience
In order to be successful in this role you will have strong leadership skills and trade qualifications for Boilermaking or Fitting. Good computer literacy is essential as are your excellent communication skills.
