About the role
Boral Asphalt provides high quality asphalt and spray sealing products and contracting capabilities for large infrastructure projects, State and local government and civil construction, and is seeking a responsible, organised and experienced individual to join our Paving crew.
Reporting to the Crew Foreman and based in the Boral Asphalt depot in Plympton, you will form part of the Plympton Paving Crew.
Duties/responsibilities
·             Operating construction equipment, e.g. bitumen sprayers, asphalt pavers, multi and steel rollers, levels, skid steers, and tack coating trucks,
·             General labouring, maintenance and housekeeping,
·             Working outdoors,
·             On site training provided, and
·             Opportunities for further job development.
Skills/experience

·             Commitment to working as part of an efficient team,
·             Experience in either the operation of pavers, rollers, tack coating, skid steer (bobcat) or general asphalt experience,
·             Ability to work night shifts and overtime when required,
·             Experience in working with hot materials,
·             Willingness to be trained in the safe operation and use of contracting plant and equipment,
·             Good communication skills,
·             Valid Drivers' Licence (MR or HR - highly regarded), and
·             Trade qualification or equivalent will be highly regarded.
