Job Description
As we take on the challenge of moving away from being an 'operator of
services' to an 'integrator' we are seeking experienced Business Technology
Partners with both the relevant technical skills and the gravitas to influence,
challenge and engage with stakeholders and senior members of the business.
Reporting to the General Manager – IT Strategy, Demand and Innovation, this
is a fantastic opportunity to form the core of a high-performing &
collaborative team. As the primary interface between Boral Information and
Communications Technology (ICT) and the business, you will be accountable for
creating and driving ICT strategy and shaping key project initiatives to
support the business needs across HR, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Group
Secretariat and Boral BBP. This role owns the strategic pillar of HR People and
Contractor Management.
Responsibilities
You will have a proven depth of experience in the following:

Ensuring up to date knowledge of
industry trends, capability and innovation with an ability to effectively
utilise this knowledge - working
proactively with business units to define and deliver technology roadmap/vision
and change;
·
Ensuring technology services are
aligned to business expectation;
·
Supporting the GM in the annual
Business Planning cycle to agree Boral ICT CAPEX allocation and spend;
·
Accountability for the definition/performance
of services, policies and practices;
·
Providing ongoing communication
oversight and escalation capability on all projects throughout the full
lifecycle;
·
Developing staff capability
(mentoring and coaching team members); and
·
Striving for Zero Harm in the workplace whilst
maintaining a positive safety culture.
Desired Education and Experience
·
10-15 years of Technology
experience with at least 7 years in Business Facing / Leadership roles,
Bachelor or Master's Degree in computer science/information systems, Project
Management Qualification or proven Project Management experience and highly proficient
with Microsoft Office tools.
·
Experience within M&A and
divestment and Finance Data Warehouse/Oracle Products

·
You have a high level of energy and commitment and an ability to work under
pressure in a fast changing environment. You are proactive, able to anticipate
and identify potential issues and have a proven track record in problem
solving.

You are delivery focused and quality is as important to you as it is to
your customers
·
You are able to see the big picture but have good attention to detail – you
take ownership for driving successful outcomes.
·
As a leader you are known for being collaborative and consultative – matrix
working is a comfortable model for you.
·
And of course – you have effective negotiation and influencing skills and
excellent communication skills both written and verbal including an ability to
create and deliver relevant and engaging presentations at all levels.
