Background Information:BHP Billiton Iron Ore is one of the world's leading suppliers of iron ore. The Company's operations currently involve an integrated system of seven mines, more than 1,600 kilometres of rail and two separate world class port facilities; Nelson Point and Finucane Island at Port Hedland.
Position
We are looking for an experienced HR professional to work in partnership with Iron Ore Leaders in the provision of generalist HR support guidance and advice at our Yandi mine site in the Pilbara. You will deliver across a wide range of HR disciplines including; remuneration and benefits, employee relations, change management, leadership development, and talent management.
Reporting to the HR Superintendent, your duties will also include:
- HR Business Partnering responsibilities for a designated operational group including, but not limited to organisational structure management, performance management and HR data support;
- Planning, coordinating and monitoring key seasonal processes such as; annual performance and remuneration reviews, labour budgets and succession and talent planning; and
- Providing support to colleagues and Superintendent in the delivery of an effective business partnering support model.
Position

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Relevant HR/IR tertiary qualifications are highly desirable;
- Operations experience with demonstrated success in delivering professional generalist HR support and advice;
- Strong communication and relationship management skills as your success in this role lies in your ability to become a trusted Business Partner through building close working relationships with, line managers, employees and peers;
- SAP proficiency will be highly regarded; and
- A team oriented approach and an ability to multi-task are all essential to success.
Location
You will be based at our 'Yandi' mine on a fly-in fly-out 5 on 2 off 4 on 3 off roster. Yandi is located approximately 170kms North of Newman West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, squash, tennis and basketball courts, golf driving range, mini golf, netted cricket pitch, beach volleyball court and recreation room. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, internet, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
