THE SCHOOL: This Primary School based in Newham; is a modern, innovative well-resourced
school, teaching a vibrant and creative curriculum with a focus on the creative
arts. They have been judged to be a 'Good' school by Ofsted. The setting for
the SEN provision will be purpose-built and aims to offer an
exceptional
learning environment and a wide range of well-equipped facilities for pupils
and staff. The school plans on supporting the places of many children with
autism spectrum disorder.
THE ROLE: Experience with Autism is a must. If appointed; you will take a lead on
setting up and developing this new provision in partnership with the school's
SENCO, and with support from the Local Authority's Language, Communication and
Interaction Service which supports children with autism across Newham. You will
spilt your time between teaching and managing, with the majority of your time
will be spent teaching.This is an exciting career opportunity and would require
ongoing professional development. You must be hard working and supportive to
the other staff members.
