Position Title:Consultant Final Evaluation - DRC

Background Information:
This is a short-term consultancy for February and March 2015
We’re looking for someone with strong evaluation experience and expertise
in conflict transformation
approaches in peacebuilding, to carry out a final
evaluation of an Alert project in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). You
will work with International Alert’s DRC team to design and implement the
evaluation, and prepare the final report, over a total duration of 18 days
including fieldwork in DRC. Please see the evaluation terms of reference for
more details.
Skills and experience required:
·
A Masters’ degree or equivalent
in development, project management, social sciences or similar
·
A minimum of 3 years’ experience
working on managing and transforming conflicts
·
At least 6 years’ experience in
qualitative evaluation of peacebuilding or development programmes
·
Experience and skill in writing
evaluation reports
·
Knowledge of the socio-cultural,
economic, and socio-political contexts in Eastern DRC
·
Fluent in French (reading,
writing and speaking)
·
Experience collecting case
studies, photos and/or film is an advantage
·
Knowledge of Kiswahili is an
advantage
