Job Description
Our Electrical & Instrumentation Technician team members are responsible for maximising plant availability through the completion of both planned and breakdown maintenance tasks across all aspects of the plant.
This includes calibrating transmitters, servicing valves changing out motors, fault finding within electrical instrumentation panels and general equipment checks.
This is a residentially based position in Kalgoorlie and relocation will be considered. 
Skills and Requirements
  Experience in a mineral processing environment
  Electrical Trade Certificate
  WA 'A' Grade Electrical Licence
  Certificate IV Instrumentation qualification - highly desired
  Type 'B' Industrial Gas Appliance experience -  preferred but not mandatory
  HV Switching qualification - preferred but not mandatory
  Computer literate with experience with SAP, 1SAP or similar
  Sound problem diagnosing and solving skills
  Post trade experience in mining or industrial maintenance fields will provide a sound foundation for this position

Kalgoorlie is the largest inland city in Western Australia and due to its central location is positioned at the heart of the Goldfields as a vibrant mining town and a major gateway to the Eastern States. Although fairly isolated, the City of Kalgoorlie/Boulder offers modern shopping facilities, a huge variety of sports, and schooling for all ages up to high school. The Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter receives nickel concentrate from our mining operations in Leinster and Mt Keith as well as from our Third Party Feed concentrator in Kambalda. Nickel West Kalgoorlie incorporates a flash furnace smelter, converters and an acid plant which has the capacity to produce up to 110,000 tonnes per annum of nickel matte.
