The Position
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will responsible for the safe execution of maintenance work within the Materials Maintenance Department. Your focus will be on ensuring all tasks and behaviours are in line with current BHP Billiton processes and standards.

Some of your duties will include:
  Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of any events and hazards associated with any work carried out,
  Execute work orders as directed by the shift maintenance supervisor determined by plant priorities,
  Work in a multi-disciplined team effectively assisting other trades personnel as required to meet business objectives,
  Ensuring adequate scoping of corrective work is undertaken and improvement in work methods is captured and update through all tasks,
  Ensuring returns of unused or repairable materials are of a standard that meets all site requirements
  Providing input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability;
This position is on the day shift maintenance crew on a 4 day per week, 10.5 hour per day work pattern.
With an overriding commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Team Work, you will be a pro-active and conscientious member of the team.

Skills and Experience
In order to be successful in this role you will be Trade qualified in Fitting and will have demonstrated experience in a relevant industry with maintenance exposure. Licences to Perform Scaffolding, Rigging, Working at Heights and Confined Space are highly desirable. You will be an enthusiastic team player who can easily identify solutions to problems when briefing your Supervisor regarding any issues. You will have a willingness to follow processes and procedures that are in place within a large organisation.
