Background Information:
We now seek proactive, qualified Reticulation Electricians to join our Mine
Maintenance Fixed Plant team. Reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance
Electrical, this role will see you carrying out planned and unplanned,
installation and modifications to UG Electrical and Communication Back Bones.
This will not only ensure we keep pace with future Mining progression, but
provide a functional and reliable system, capable of allowing our customers to
meet their Targets.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to, assisting in resolving
electrical issues affecting equipment performance and availability, reviewing
and updating maintenance schedule plans and equipment history and developing
and revising relevant procedures. Flexibility will be a key attribute due to
the nature of the role seeing a lot of reactive tasks. You will play a vital
role in achieving the targets that the Mine Electrical Team has committed too.
Other accountabilities will include supervising and coordinating
contractors as or if required, job scoping, and notification creation,
confirming maintenance hours on work orders and providing an interface with
other departments on job status.
Please note this is a shift position, operating on a 4/5 rotational shift
roster arrangement.
Skills & Experience
To be considered, you must hold an Electrical Trade Certificate, South
Australian A-Class Electrical Workers Licence, National Working at Heights and
Load shifting – I.T. Ticket will be highly regarded. Previous underground mining industry
experience is desirable.
You must be a safety focused individual with the ability to communicate
effectively across a wide range of levels and be a proven team player in your
field of expertise.
Location
Located 560 kilometres north of Adelaide, South Australia, Olympic Dam is
Australia's largest underground mine, incorporating a complex minerals
processing operation, producing copper cathode, uranium oxide concentrate, gold
and silver.
This role is based in Roxby Downs, a thriving community of 4,500 people,
with the highest standard of infrastructure in roads, buildings and business
facilities. An active and progressive administration and community network
support it. Roxby Downs is home to a variety of modern, well equipped
educational, health, sporting, leisure, shopping and cultural facilities.
