Boral Roofing and Masonry East has an exciting opportunity for a Roofing
Estimator looking for a diverse and challenging role with one of the states
most iconic brands. In this role, you will be accountable for two states (SA
& NSW) delivering estimates and quotations on time as well as controlling
the profitability of orders/acceptances. Reporting to the Contracts Manager
(NSW) and will be based in Emu Plains.
Duties/responsibilities:

Source, identify and record
contracting opportunities;
·
Implement and maintain pricing
documentation, suppliers quotes, products details and customer correspondence;
·
Review requests for quotation
(RFQ) and estimates to prepare and issue quotes accordingly;
·
Liaise with customer, engineers,
consultants and internal staff to source and establish full project pricing
requirements;
·
Maintenance of quote register
through follow up on quotes with builders and the sales team;
·
Work with the sales team for
timely generation of quotes to maximise profit;
·
Facilitate margin control and
order acceptance process by ensuring take-off accurately reflects customer
orders;
·
Keep up-to-date with all
quotation and delivery requests for the allocated customer portfolio;
·
Answer the telephone in a timely
manner, address customer enquiries/requests and direct inquiries to alternative
personnel where appropriate;
·
Keep IT systems up-to-date with
quotation and delivery progress for accurate reporting;
·
Liaise with customer on take-off
related matters; and
·
To work within the company safety
system as per site policies and procedures.
Skills/experience:
·
Estimating experience and ability
to read building plans;
·
Strong people and communication
skills;
·
Enthusiastic team player seeking

·
Demonstrated ability to handle
competing deadlines appropriately, effectively and accurately;
·
Disciplined, highly numerate,
process orientated with a keen eye for detail;
·
Knowledge of MK8, computer based
drawing applications and excel spreadsheets an advantage; and
·
Personal drive and
results-orientation;
·
Trade or engineering
qualification (desirable).
