Background Information:

processing, logistics and shipping on Groote Eylandt.

Reporting to the Manager Information Systems, we are currently seeking an
experienced Communications Technician to join the GEMCO team in providing
technical and customer service support to the information systems (IS)
technologies and services used by GEMCO.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Executing service delivery
activities in accordance with the relevant IS and HSE Standards;
·
Supporting the transition of new
or enhanced IS services;
·
Optimising the collaboration
within a team to support the effective execution of service delivery;
·
Completion of assigned tasks to
work/service order;
·
Reporting events and hazards in a
timely and accurate manner.
To be successful in this role you
will ideally have:
·
Demonstrated experience working
in a similar type role, providing technical and customer support with
information systems technologies and services;
·
CTCBL3009A or equivalent
(Install, terminate and certify structured cabling installation);
·
CTCBL3011A or equivalent (Install
and Terminate Coaxial cable);
·
CTCBL3010A or equivalent (Install
and terminate optical fibre cabling on
customer premises);
·
Experience with Motorola Mototrbo
systems;
·
Experience with Modular mining or
other fleet management systems;
·
Experience with wireless and
fixed network communications;
·
Degree or trade in a relevant
discipline;
Employment Conditions
Offered as a residential position, an attractive salary package
