Background Information:
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join our
Processing Major Maintenance team. Reporting to the Major Maintenance
Superintendent the Supervisor Major Maintenance will be responsible for the
safe execution and management of work teams in all Processing Major Maintenance
activities, including the support for planning and development of project
schedules.
Key responsibilities include:
• Collaborate with Production and
Maintenance teams to ensure that projects are executed safely across multiple
job fronts ensuring materials, plant and
services are available when scheduled.
• Execution of projects to schedule
and budget.
• Facilitate the daily pre-start
meetings and monthly safety meetings.
• Conduct in field inspections to
determine work areas are safe and work scopes are followed.
• Update work instructions where
required.
• Maintain quality records.
• Manage both planned and interrupt
work as required.
• Manage multiple contract personnel
and different trades as part of the Major Maintenance execution work team.
Please note these positions operate on a 4/5 Day / Night Rotational roster
arrangement
Skills & Experience
Candidates will have extensive project experience within the mining and
minerals processing industries. Ideally holding a relevant Trade qualification
with a minimum 5 years post-trade experience or have relevant demonstrated
experience to this level.
A strong aptitude for effectively managing contractors and contract labour
along with the ability to quickly and constructively adapt and work across
multiple levels, disciplines and departments will be instrumental to success in
this challenging role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including MS Project as well as SAP or
similar would be highly regarded.
Location
Located 560 kilometres north of Adelaide, South Australia, Olympic Dam is
Australia's largest underground mine, incorporating a complex minerals
processing operation, producing copper cathode, uranium oxide concentrate, gold
and silver.
This role is based in Roxby Downs, a thriving community of 4,500 people,
with the highest standard of infrastructure in roads, buildings and business
facilities. An active and progressive administration and community network
support it. Roxby Downs is home to a variety of modern, well equipped
educational, health, sporting, leisure, shopping and cultural facilities.
